THE DAY OF

Are other events scheduled on the same day?

No, we only schedule one event per day!

What happens in case of rain?

We have several rain options available at Red Cedar Farm. Plan B is the use of our 100+ clear umbrellas and seat cushions in order to utilize the outdoor ceremony site. And of course, if the weather is a bit much for umbrellas, Red Cedar Farm staff will take care of converting the indoor dance floor for the ceremony.

How Long Do We Have the Venue?

All events are booked from 10am-10pm. To comply with Kitsap County noise ordinances all music must end by 9:30 pm and all guests, wedding party and vendors must be vacated from the venue no later than 10pm.

What about end of event clean up responsibilities?

You are responsible for removing everything that you bring in, including all trash etc. We have designated trash and recycling dumpsters onsite available. We ask that you leave the buildings as clean as you found them. We will take care of folding all tables and chairs. Extra cleaning needed or any damage caused may result in a loss of your security deposit.

Optional End of Event Clean-up service:

Who wants to think about cleaning and packing up your stuff at the end of a fantastic day? We got you covered! We will pack up all your decorations etc. ready for you to come back the following day and help load everything into your vehicles.

Do you include a “wedding day coordinator”?

Yes, we can provide this service or require you to hire your own. We do provide an onsite team leader to help facilitate your day for anything venue related.

PROPERTY

Do I need to schedule a visit, or can I just stop by?

We love giving private tours! This is a great time for us to get to know you and your vision, and for you to get to know us and how we can help support you. We are a working farm with various projects going on and do not offer a drop-by option. We love to be prepared for your arrival so we can give you the attention you deserve.

Can we fly a drone?

There are a lot of legalities, liabilities and limitations of drone photography. Due to safety concerns no one may fly a drone on Red Cedar Farm property except a licensed and insured drone operation company. All paperwork including drone specific insurance must be submitted to Red Cedar Farm no later than 15 days before event. No other persons or guest may use a drone at the event.

Are you ADA accessible?

Yes, absolutely we strive to accommodate all guests.

What are your restroom facilities?

We have four operational restrooms, all ADA accessible.

Can we have fireworks on the property? What about wedding farewells?

No, we do not allow fireworks or sparklers of any type at the farm. No confetti, rice, bird seed, seeds of any type, balloons, floating paper lanterns or other items that pose a hazard to our wildlife and farm animals are permitted for wedding send-offs. Please ask for acceptable farewell options.

Can I use candles?

Yes, real candles are permitted if there is 2” or more of glass above the flame. If any candle wax is accidentally spilled and left behind this will be deducted from security deposit.

Do you allow dogs onsite to be a part of our wedding?

We do allow the wedding couple to bring their dog and service animals. We understand that pets are family and it would be sad to not have them on your wedding day. However, please make sure your dog is always on a leash and designate someone other than the couple to stay with them while they are on the farm.

Do you have a designated smoking area?

Yes, this applies to all types of smoking including vape and electric pens and must follow Washington State rules.

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things from the ceiling?

To preserve our barn, the use of nails, staples, glue, tape or other similar materials are not allowed.

We are using a rental company for additional decorations. What about the drop off options?

All rentals must be dropped off and picked up during your rental period, between 10am and 10pm. If items a rental company cannot be picked up at the end of your rental period, we do have a storage space for your rental items. Please make sure to arrange the pickup date and time with us so we can be prepared for the rental company,

Catering

You may choose catering from our list of preferred caters. Outside catering with a licensed cater is permitted with prior approval. All catered food must be prepared in a commercial kitchen. Red Cedar Farm holds no responsibility for any food mishaps.

What is your alcohol policy?

All alcoholic beverages must be served by a licensed and insured bartender and subject to the rules established by the Washington State Liquor Control Board and Red Cedar Farm. You are required to obtain a Banquet Permit ($11) and provide a copy to Red Cedar Farm (1) week prior to your event. Visit: https://lcb.wa.gov/licensing/banquet-permits. Red Cedar Farm permits you to provide your own alcohol. Hard alcohol cocktails are only permitted during “the cocktail hour”. Appetizers must be provided during all cocktail hours Last call is 9:15 with bar closed at 9:30

Can we hire our own vendors?

Yes, you may choose your own vendors, but all vendors must be licensed and insured with commercial general liability insurance. This proof of insurance is required 15 days prior to your event.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

All decorating must be done during your rental period (starting at 10:00). However, if the venue is available the day prior to your event you can rent the venue ($100 per hr.) for decorating and rehearsal purposes. This rented use of time cannot be utilized for a rehearsal dinner.

INVESTMENTS

What is your payment and cancellation policy?

We require 40% down of the base rental fee upon booking to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event. If the client cancels the event for any reason, the client shall submit the cancellation in writing. All payments made to date are nonrefundable. Deposits may be applied to a new date if Red Cedar Farm has been given 6 months’ notice of date change. Any events cancelled within 3 months’ notice of rental date; client will be responsible for full balance owing on contract. Military deployment does not apply to this policy.

Do we need Event Insurance?

Yes, we require event insurance with coverage of $1,000,000.00 including host liquor liability listing Red Cedar Farm on the policy. Event insurance document must be submitted to Red Cedar Farm (1) week prior to event.

What form of payment does Red Cedar Farm accept?

Our preferred method of payment is cash or check. However, we do accept a few online electronic transfers of funds.
